　　该剧是根据根据2001年Elmore Leonard撰写的小说《Fire In The Hole》改编，讲述美国联邦执法官Raylan Givens（Timothy Olyphant扮演）使用传统方法来解决现代案件的故事。「Justified」这个名字有一定的宗教含义，在神学上指「上帝把人从与滔天罪行相连的惩罚中解脱出来」。
